18th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society
Message from the President

Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is my great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you all for the 18th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society, scheduled for March 1-3 in the historic city of Athens, Greece.
Our Symposium promises an enriching and diverse scientific program, featuring distinguished keynote speakers. We are also looking forward to a range of high-caliber scientific and clinical e-posters, showcasing the latest advancements and research in the field of orthodontics.
Beyond the academic exchange, the Symposium will offer an excellent networking environment, set against the backdrop of Athens’ rich cultural heritage. March in Athens is a time of splendid beauty, offering the perfect blend of mild weather and the city’s vibrant energy, free from the hustle of peak tourist season. We encourage you to explore the ancient landmarks and museums, which stand as testaments to the profound historical legacy that continues to inspire our field.
This Symposium is not just a scientific event; it’s an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, to learn, and to be inspired. We are excited to create a memorable experience for all attendees, combining scientific rigor with the unparalleled beauty and history of Athens.
As we gather for this great event, it is also a time of special celebration for us at the Greek Orthodontic Society. A celebration that marks the 60th anniversary of our society, a milestone that not only reflects our long-standing dedication to the field of orthodontics but also underscores our commitment to continual learning and advancement. Throughout these six decades, we have seen tremendous growth and evolution in our discipline, and this symposium serves as a testament to that journey. We look forward to commemorating this significant anniversary with you all, as we reflect on our past achievements and look forward to the future with renewed enthusiasm and a shared vision for excellence in orthodontic care.
Also, in the 18th International Symposium we have the pleasure to host the recipient of the World Federation of Orthodontists inaugural ‘Rising Star’ Travel Scholarship. The World Federation of Orthodontists ‘Rising Star’ Travel Scholarship was established by the WFO Executive Committee in 2022, named after is former WFO President, Doctor Roberto Justus and is presented to WFO Fellows who have excelled in the field of Orthodontics.
We await your presence with enthusiasm at the 18th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society and look forward to an event filled with learning, inspiration, and collegiality.
Warm regards,
Assoc. Prof. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos
President, Greek Orthodontic Society
